However, there are ways in which you can improve your chances of getting in. Let\u2019s find out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Deadlines<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The applications to Oxford and Cambridge are required to be submitted through the UCAS by the deadline, which is 15<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of October. The general deadline for other universities is January 15th, therefore, students will have to get their personal statement ready much in advance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Pre-interview Exams<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants will be required to sit for additional pre-interview exams depending on the course they are applying for. These exams include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Classics Admission Test (CAT)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The History Aptitude Test (HAT)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>These are different assessment tests for different courses. Students applying to Oxford and Cambridge should visit the respective university websites and check their required assessment tests.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>IELTS Requirement<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These two universities also have a much higher IELTS requirement and therefore students should make sure they check that before applying to these universities. These may vary from course to course and the requirements may not be as high for all courses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Interview Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both Oxford and Cambridge interview all their applicants before they offer them admission. Students who pass the pre-interview assessment tests are offered interviews.
